Hawaii
Beats Sacramento 8-2
Adrian Mols provides catalyst with
triple in the fourth
|
Scottsdale, AZ
- Down two runs into the fourth inning, Adrian Mols sent a
three-run triple into the power alley to put Hawaii ahead of Sacramento, Calif. It proved
to be all the runs Hawaii would need as Kukui Lucas shut down his
opponents for the remainder of the evening, giving him an impressive complete game
victory. The division champions from Northern California put two early runs on the board
in the first. But the team from Hawaii, players from Aiea, Halawa, and Kaimuki
districts combined, came alive in the fourth capped by Mols' shot to right-center.
Lucas, Jacob Flick, Bryan Lee, and Paki Lum, who sent a rocket into straight away center for a triple,
each had two hits a piece. Hawaii plays the winner of the second game between
Anaheim, CA. and Scottsdale, AZ. on Tuesday at 5:30pm PDT. |
