Kevin HigaTucson, AZ - Hawaii rocked Delaware for 12 hits and Kyle Correa kept the U.S. East representatives at bay as Hawaii posted a 6-2 victory and improved their tournament record to 2-1.  Hawaii will play host Tucson tomorrow at 8:00pm PDT.  The winner will play Florida, 3-0, for a berth in the Series title game.

Down a run in the third inning, Kevin Higa led off with a sharp single to right.  First baseman Bryan Lee followed Higa with another single to center advancing Higa to third.  Kenji Takanishi then hit a sizzling grounder between third and short to score Higa putting Lee on second.  A passed ball allowed the runners to move up with still one out in the inning.  Jacob Flick grounded out to the third baseman scoring Lee from third.  Designated hitter Kukui Lucas singled to left scoring Takanishi from second giving Hawaii a 3-1 lead.

Adrian MolsDelaware got back a run in the top of the fourth but gave it right back in the bottom half of the inning when Roy Dunlap singled to left and moved to third on Higa's second hit of the game, this time to centerfield.  Takanishi hit a  hard grounder to third that scored Dunlap when the Delaware third baseman couldn't make the tough throw to first.  Higa was caught trying to make it home on the errant throw to end the inning with Hawaii up 4-2.

Hawaii scored another run in the fifth on a towering fly ball by Paki Lum that kicked off the heel of the right fielder's glove putting Lum on second.   Ryan Okano, who took over the catching duties in the fifth, giving Flick a much needed rest, laced a double into the right field corner scoring Lum from second.  Hawaii added another run in the sixth on Lee's sacrifice fly to center that scored Higa from third giving them a 6-2 lead.  It was then left up to Correa who retired the side for the complete game victory.
