Do you believe in reincarnation? Or do you believe it is an unsound theory? Does your religion take a position for or against it? Have you experienced what seems to be a "past life", through regression or dreams?
Do you have a problem communicating your belief, or lack of belief in reincarnation to someone you love? Has your belief or lack thereof caused a separation with someone you love? Do you think a person needs to believe one way or the other?
This book is intended to help resolve communication problems with those on both sides of the fence. It is written to present possible theories on the phenomena of reincarnation, and help redefine what we know of that phenomena. I've included examples of actual sessions for you to read within most of the subjects.
It also helps to give a history of both sides of the fence, different schools of thought, and a greater understanding of the subject in general, including viewpoints that point to redefining the entire theory.
If it helps just two people to resolve their differences on this issue and come together in their communication, it will have been worth the effort of its writing.
It is my theory that no one should have to be divided on this issue. The belief, or lack thereof, in reincarnation should not be a wedge between people, as it is in many cases. I have seen people who no longer communicate, because they cannot come to an agreement on whether or not "past lives" are real. I don't think that this needs to be an issue in our time.
Reincarnation, or some form of pre-existence, is believed by most of the world's population. For those who have had regression therapy of any kind, and have been taken back to what appears to be a "past life", it is fact. It would be as hard to convince these people that reincarnation does not exist as it would be to convince you that you imagined having breakfast this morning. What they experience during regression therapy is as real to them as any memory they have ever had.
That just pertains to those who've had regression therapy. It doesn't count those who've had unexpected memories of past existences that they cannot explain, or knowledge and talents they did not acquire in this lifetime and cannot account for.
For those who believe that reincarnation is not a valid theory or experience, either because their belief system rejects it or because they have had no personal experience that would suggest a reality of it, it can be confusing and frustrating to hear about it from others and can lead to upset or invalidation of all involved.
Some religions disbelieve the theory of reincarnation. Some people disbelieve it on the grounds of having not experienced any type of reincarnation phenomena or not believing it has any scientific basis. Some believe it is a trick of the devil, to convince us that what the bible says is not true. Some just think it is a trick of the mind, like a mirage or a fantasy.
So we have people who believe it to be true in theory or faith or experience, and people who disbelieve it because of their faith or theories or lack of any supporting experience or evidence.
Belief in reincarnation has separated many people from each other. These people do not need to be separated. Understanding more about the origins of the belief and the different possible causes of what I call "Reincarnation Phenomena" can help us to understand that perhaps we simply don't have the whole picture. Different viewpoints can actually be reconciled if we can just consider for a moment that perhaps neither party understands everything about it.
We are coming into an age of enlightenment in science where some of the old rules no longer apply, and some of them are finally beginning to make sense.
I have a great deal of experience that I have gained over time, and education in the field of metaphysics, Christianity, and the paranormal that has allowed me to view things in a larger perspective. I have studied the phenomena of reincarnation, and have come to some very interesting conclusions that many do not seem to have quite put their finger on.
I have tried to resolve my understanding of this phenomena with my belief that the bible could be correct and complete enough with regard to past lives to be true, and my knowledge that the phenomena itself is very real to those who have encountered it.
If you disagree with my points of view, I salute you. At least you're considering it enough to make an evaluation. Perhaps you will, in turn, write a book that will make us all think more, as this one is designed to do, in which case we will all be better for it. Anything that makes me reconsider my point of view helps me to grow.
I do think there is a truth out there that is attainable, and I hope to do my best to uncover it.
