    Little Dark Nebula lived inside the Great Rift, where stars did not go, and nothing gave off light. The other dark matter clouds wouldn't let her play because they wanted to hide. If people could find the dark matter clouds, they might learn the secrets of the universe, and that frightened the dark matter clouds.

    Little Dark Nebula didn't like to hide. She wanted to play, she wanted to dance, and most of all, she wanted a friend.



    Discussion


    This story stemmed from another of mine, a flash piece called "Little Black Dark Matter Cloud." Tyree Campbell at Beyond Centauri liked the concept, but not the story. He gave suggestions that would have made it a different story. Rather than rewrite, I wrote a new story targeting his changes. Tyree liked it and bought it.
